Question: While erosion can occur pretty much anywhere, are there any particular bodies of water that erode quicker than others?
Answer: Erosion is widespread and can occur on virtually any body of water. This includes land on the ocean, rivers, canals, golf courses, lakes, and retention ponds. Erosion is simply the result of fluctuating water levels that batter and de-stabilize the land. We have seen serious injuries occur as the result of collapsed land. There are many reports of homes falling into bodies of water as a result of this erosion.
