Both DredgeSOX & ShoreSOX are designed with the same materials and properties, but have different deployment methods. This ultimately allows the contractor to manipulate these systems to achieve the best results on a job.
Installation is quick and fairly straightforward, with the right tools, material and skills. You can find the installation steps for DredgeSOX and ShoreSOX below.
Hammer stakes into the ground (without burying rope holes).
Unroll material to the designated area, most of which will be lying in the water.
Tie the SOX material to the stakes every 3 feet.
DredgeSOX is then folded in half and both the top and bottom of the anchoring system are tied back to an additional row of upper stakes in the ground staggered and offset between the lower row of stakes.
The ends are sewn up and are ready for fill material.
Step by step guide for deploying ShoreSOX
Hammer stakes into the ground (without burying rope holes).
Unroll material to the designated area, most of which will be lying in the water.
Tie the SOX material to the stakes every 3 feet.
ShoreSOX is then folded in half and both the top and bottom of the anchoring system are tied back to an additional row of upper stakes in the ground staggered and offset between the lower row of stakes.
The ends are sewn up and are ready for fill material.
ShoreSOX only anchors the bottom portion of the system while the top portion remains open.
Once the fill material is added, the top portion of the ShoreSOX material is then wrapped over the graded fill, and is anchored to the top row of anchors, and sewn together.
